Digital Camera for Beginners
Who is the course for?
This 10 hour course is for complete beginners, those who have a digital camera and don’t know where to start. You should know about using a mouse, keyboard, toolbars and menus.
You need to bring along your camera, all cables, discs and the manual.
What does the course aim to do?
It will introduce you to taking pictures with your digital camera and how to access your pictures from the camera and using a computer.
What will be covered?
- Basic use of your digital camera
- Taking pictures
- Changing the camera settings
- Uploading pictures to a computer
- Simple image editing
- Printing pictures
What are the final qualifications?
There are no formal qualifications or tests to be taken at the end of the course. A certificate of achievement will be issued on completion of the course.
How will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment however advice, guidance and support will be given as required.
Will I have to study at home?
No, however you may wish to use some time at home to practice the skills you have learnt in class. Alternatively you can use the computers at e-Pewsey to practice.
How much does the course cost?
£25.00
You may be entitled to a fee remission if you are in receipt
of certain benefits.
Are there any additional costs?
Handouts are provided, you just need to bring something to write with. There is a small charge of 50p for CD Roms should you wish to copy your pictures to disc.
