Who is the course for?
This 10 hour course is for those who wish to edit photographs and pictures. You should know about using a mouse, keyboard, toolbars and menus.
What does the course aim to do?
It will introduce you to image editing using Photoshop Elements you will be making basic image corrections by the process of acquiring, resizing and retouching a photo intended for print layout.
What will be covered?
- Making selections based on size, shape and colour using four basic sets of tools
- Isolating different parts of an image on layers
- Manipulate images
- Correct 'red-eye'
- Replace backgrounds
- Incorporate and merge different pictures and areas of picture
- Improve the quality of your picture
- Printing pictures
What are the final qualifications?
There are no formal qualifications or tests to be taken at the end of the course. A certificate of achievement will be issued on completion of the course.
How will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment however advice, guidance and support will be given as required.
Will I have to study at home?
No.
How much does the course cost?
£25.00
You may be entitled to a fee remission if you are in receipt
of certain benefits.
Are there any additional costs?
Handouts are provided, you just need to bring something to write with. There is a small charge of 50p for CD Roms should you wish to copy your pictures to disc.
