Microsoft Publisher for Beginners
Who is the course for?
This 10 hour course is for those who want an introduction to using Microsoft Publisher. You should have some experience using a keyboard and mouse, but you don’t need to be a expert.
What does the course aim to do?
A gentle introduction to develop your confidence when using publishing software. You will have the opportunity to produce and different types of publications for print and build your confidence in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

- Publisher uses
- The main publisher window
- Creating a page layout
- Templates
- Frames and boxes
- Importing text
- Fonts
- Text alignment
- Images and clip art
- Drawing tools
- Borders
- Printing publications
What are the final qualifications?
There are no formal qualifications or tests to be taken at the end of the course. A certificate of achievement will be issued on completion of the course.
How will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment however advice, guidance and support will be given as required.
Will I have to study at home?
No, however you may wish to use some time at home to practice the skills you have learnt in class.
How much does the course cost?
£20.00
You may be entitled to a fee remission if you are in receipt
of certain benefits.
Are there any additional costs?
Workbooks are provided, you just need to bring something to write with.
