Welcome to the Pewsey Village Website
Pewsey is located in the county of Wiltshire in the southern part of England. You can easily access Pewsey via train, direct from London Paddington station.
This vibrant village of about 3500 residents (5000 including surrounding area) boasts the 'Oldest Carnival in Wiltshire'. Pewsey Carnival, held annually for two weeks in late September, culminates in a colourful and wacky 'procession' of floats, bands, performers and people in all manner of fancy-dress!
Pewsey was once owned by the Saxon king, King Alfred. The crossroads of Pewsey is home to a prominent stone statue of the King, unveiled in June 1913 to commemorate the coronation of George V.
Around the village you will find beautiful thatched cottages, a 700 year old church, Kennet & Avon Canal access, and loads of pubs offering a variety of entertainment.
