Free Training for Carers

Together with Kennet Carers we are able to run 3 free computer courses for 'carers' at The PACT Centre in Pewsey. Funding for carers is low within health and social care and they are often denied opportunities for breaks, thus we are really pleased to say that together we can offer this training. The courses will be 3 weeks long and will last two hours per session. Content will include using the internet, email/online shopping and the training to use the online forum to be set up for carers in Kennet to keep in touch with one another. The caring role can frequently lead to isolation as carers often cannot leave the person that they care for so the online forum and giving carers the skills to use the internet should help this problem. If you are or know a carer and would like to take advantage of this fantastic free offer (transport, tea and biscuits also provided!) please phone, pop into the office or write to Kennet Carers.
